Privacy Policy

Short version: We run a speed test that operates entirely in your browser. We do not store any measurement values or personal data in our database. Advertising via Google AdSense is loaded only after your explicit consent. You can revoke consent at any time.

2. Server logs and hosting

Our site is delivered via the hosting platform Netlify (Netlify Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). Netlify temporarily processes IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user-agent for delivery and security. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

3. Speed-test measurement via Cloudflare

The actual measurement runs through the Cloudflare speed-test endpoint (speed.cloudflare.com, Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107). Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical connection data solely for the purpose of the measurement. We do not store any of this data ourselves. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract performance).

5. Google AdSense (with consent only)

We finance this free service through ads served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). AdSense sets cookies and may use the local-storage feature of your browser to serve ads contextually or, with your consent, personally. Data processed may include: IP address, browser info, device info, approximate location, ad-interaction data.

Google may use this data to build user profiles across multiple websites. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you consent, no personalized advertising data is processed. Only after your active consent does the mode change to "granted".

You have the right to: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7 (3)). Requests by email: hello@schnelligkeitstest.de.

7. Right to complain

You have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. The relevant authority is the one of your country of residence or of our place of business.

Transmission is exclusively encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We use up-to-date security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy).
